BARILOCHE

San Carlos de Bariloche, is an Argentinian city, part of Río Negro Province, and is the main city of the Department of Bariloche. It is the most heavily populated city in the Patagonian Andes. It is located next to the Nahuel Huapi National Park, alongside the Cordillera de los Andes (Andes Mountain Range), on the southern shore of Nahuel Huapi Lake.

CHILOÉ

The archipelago of Chiloé can be found in southern Chile. It is made up of the Isla Grande de Chiloé together with countless smaller islands and minor islets. The archipelago has a surface area of 9,181 km². The archipelago of Chiloé was formed by the sinking of the Chilean coastal range, only the peaks of which rise up above the surface of the ocean.

RUTA 40

Route 40 is an Argentinian highway running from Cabo Vírgenes, in Santa Cruz province, Patagonia, to the border with Bolivia in the city of La Quiaca, in Jujuy province. It runs parallel to the Cordillera de los Andes (Andes mountain range), with many sections running through or near national parks.

LAGUNA SAN RAFAEL

The origins of this lagoon are proglacial. It was formed by the retreat of the San Rafael glacier, at the northern end of the Northern Patagonian Ice Field. Today, it is an important tourist destination: several boats depart daily from Puerto Chacabuco and Puerto Montt towards the lagoon where you can take in the natural beauty of the glacier and see the ice break off it in great chunks.

PUERTO EDÉN

Puerto Edén is a port town in southern Chile, located south of the Gulf of Penas and on the western shore of the Paso del Indio, on Wellington Island. Approximately 6,000 years ago, its coasts were inhabited by native canoeing peoples, the ancestors of the modern day Kawésqar. You can visit Puerto Edén by taking our trip through the Patagonian fjords. (we only stop at Puerto Edén in high season, weather conditions permitting)

The Southern Patagonian Ice Field is largest expanse of continental ice in the world after Antarctica and Greenland, the largest non-polar ice field in the world and the largest ice field accessible by land. It is situated in the Patagonian Andes on the border between Argentina and Chile. You will be able to visit one of the glaciers fed by this magnificent ice field by taking our trip through the Patagonian fjords. EL CALAFATE

The town of El Calafate is located on the southern shore of Lago Argentino, in Argentinian Patagonia. It lies about 320 km northwest of Rio Gallegos. It is the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, which contains the Perito Moreno Glacier, Upsala Glacier, and Mount Fitz Roy, on the eastern edge of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.

PERITO MORENO

The Perito Moreno glacier is a thick mass of ice located in the department of Lago Argentino, part of Santa Cruz Province, in the Patagonia region of southwest Argentina. This glacier flows down from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. As it descends, it reaches the southern arm of Lago Argentino.  The glacier face is 5 km wide, with a height of 60 m above water level.

PUERTO CHACABUCO

Puerto Chacabuco is the main port of Aysén Region as well as being the region’s most important point of access. It is located about 15 km from Puerto Aysén and has a population of nearly 1,600 inhabitants. The economy is mainly based on fishing, marine farming, and increasingly, on tourism, especially ecotourism and sport fishing.
