Puerto Montt

Puerto Montt, capital of the Tenth region (Región de los Lagos), lies on the northern shore of the Bay of Reloncaví, adjacent to Tenglo island, and is the threshold of the group of islands that make up the Chiloé archipelago. Picturesque and cozy city, Puerto Montt is characterized by an intense fishing activity and its tourist activity is based on the navigation through its surrounding channels and islands.

Castro

The picturesque city of Castro is located in the center of the Great Island of Chiloé. Its main attractions are the San Francisco de Castro church, declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO, as well as its particular landscape famous for its colorful palafito houses, built on stilts over the tide.

Chaitén

Capital of Palena province, its name derives from the Huilliche "basket of water", relating to the abundant rain in the region. Nowadays, the city of Chaitén is the main administrative and business center within the area, and it has an estimated population of 3,500 inhabitants.

Puerto Chacabuco

Puerto Chacabuco, main port and maritime entrance to the Aysén Region, has an approximate population of 1,500 inhabitants. Its activity is mainly based on ecotourism and sport fishing. Most boats to Laguna San Rafael set sail from this place.

Coihaique

Capital of the Aysén Region, Coyhaique is nestled in the extreme south of Chile, 1,649 km from Santiago in the valley between Simpson and Coyhaique lakes and Divisadero mountain. Its most important activity is cattle and sheep breeding, and undoubtedly, its main character is the hard-working shepherd.

Laguna San Rafael

San Rafael Lagoon is located South of Coyhaique. This place is a true multicolored floating ice floe garden, where San Valentín glacier stands out, which can be reached by air or by sailing the surrounding channels.

Cochrane

The city of Cochrane is located 334 km south of Coyhaique, shelter of the huemul, southern Andean deer and the condor, both Chilean native animals. High peaks, wide valleys and large lands of pampa stand out in the landscape of this city, toned down with rivers and lakes, such as Cochrane lake.

Puerto Edén

Home to the last Kawéskar Indians, Puerto Eden is a small village founded in 1969 on northeast Wellington island, which main activity is fishing.

Puerto Natales

Cattle raising and tourism are the core activities of the beautiful city of Puerto Natales, capital of Última Esperanza province, located 254 km northwest of Punta Arenas. It is the gateway for those who wish to visit the Cueva del Milodón, Torres del Paine National Park, Balmaceda and Serrano snowfields, among others.

Punta Arenas

It is one of the southernmost continental cities in the world by the Strait of Magellan. The city has around 115,000 inhabitants, and it is the largest business, cultural and social center in the Patagonia, as well as an important tourist center.
