From Puerto Natales it is possible to visit one of the world’s most spectacular natural reserves: the Torres del Paine National Park. The variety of plant and animal species, along with its marvellous scenic attractions and its wild geography, make it one of the most attractive spots for lovers of ecology and of adventure sports. Here it is possible to go kayaking, ice-hiking, trekking toward the foot of the Torres and to stand in front of glaciers such as the Grey and the Francés, among other activities.

Farther south, on Navarino island and close to the town of Puerto Williams, is the Dientes de Navarino circuit, the world’s southernmost trekking route. Amid magnificent mountain landscapes, this circuit offers the visitor impressive views of the Beagle channel. In Argentine territory, for its part, lies the Los Glaciares National Park, where one can visit Mount Fitzroy and where there are a number of circuits with different degrees of difficulty.

During the course of this voyage toward the Patagonian channels, Navimag passengers will be able to see a large number of native bird species such as Magellanic penguins, condors, woodpeckers, black-necked swans, cormorants, petrels, flamingos, caiquenes and ñandús, among others. Magdalena island and the Torres del Paine National Park are the most outstanding places for engaging in this activity.

To the south of the Navimag route, the rivers and lakes on the main island of Tierra del Fuego are the ideal setting for fishing salmon as well as rainbow and brown trout. Especially outstanding in this region is the Blanco lake, where you will be able to enjoy the experience of fishing at the end of the world.

The Navimag route also takes you close to the different ski centres in the region. Situated near the city of Punta Arenas is the Cerro Mirador ski centre where, aside from skiing, you will be able to enjoy the view of the Strait of Magellan from the ski slopes. The Argentine territory offers ski centres in Villa La Angostura and Río Turbio as well as at Cerro Castor in Ushuaia.
